Generative Design with Fusion 360 Workshop (Online)

Generative Design with Fusion 360 Workshop (Online)

One of the hottest topics in product design the last few years is Generative Design. If you are interested in learning more about Generative Design and how it works, please join Steve Olson for this Generative Design in Fusion 360 workshop. In this workshop, Steve will give an overview of Generative Design and how it compares to Topology Optimization. Then he will demonstrate how to prepare a Fusion 360 design for a Generative Design study. We will discuss the roles of the Preserves and Obstacle Geometry. Since Generative Design is manufacturing aware, Steve will also show how to set potential materials and manufacturing methods. As the results are calculated, we can explore the results of a previous Generative Design study, to understand how to filter the multiple results on safety factor, cost, manufacturing method and more.

Please have Fusion 360 (free for students) installed on your computer prior to the workshop or drop by the Robertson Media Center computer labs to follow along with this workshop.

Link to the workshop will be sent to participants prior to the workshop.
