Open Educational Resources: An Introduction [A recording of this session will be made available on the LibGuide.]

Interested in learning more about Open Educational Resources (OER)--what they are, why we should care about them, and what the Library is doing to support their use? During this session, we will discuss staff roles within the Library for supporting OER. We’ll also take time to look at emerging faculty and student initiatives at UVA, how we’re responding to them, and discuss the statewide mandate for affordable materials. Using findings from a Library-conducted survey, we will conclude with key findings about what we know of UVA students’ needs. This is the first in a series of workshops centered on Open Educational Resources that the Library is offering this semester.
