Open Educational Resources: An Introduction :  https://virginia.zoom.us/j/99349005553?pwd=OGUweUdXNmJBRjhvMVVtSkZFOG9WQT09

Interested in learning more about Open Educational Resources (OER)--what they are, why we should care about them, and what the Library is doing to support their use? This workshop is intended for those looking for open alternatives to traditional materials or for those hoping to learn more about the possibilities of open education. We’ll review how using these resources reduces student costs, can improve student success, and gives faculty control over their class resources. We’ll discuss the statewide mandate for affordability in higher education and what we know about student need at UVA. This is the first in a series of workshops centered on Open Educational Resources that the Library is offering this semester. Please join us! Facilitated by: Judy Thomas & Bethany Mickel

[A recording of this session will be made available on the LibGuide.]
