UVA Library Design Principles: “Unified”

UVA Library Design Principles: “Unified”

In 2021, SLT adopted a set of “Design Principles,” collaboratively identified by the Web Implementation Group, to apply to work done at UVA Library. Read more about the four Principles: Human-Centered, Efficient, Unified, and Sustainable.

Does this apply to me?

‘Design’ is something almost all of us do, whether it’s visual design, workflow design, or designing solutions to common problems. This webinar can help you identify key points for making human-friendly choices for yourself, your colleagues, and our patrons!

This session is the third of four webinars—one per Design Principle—taking place during summer 2021.

Want a better understanding or introduction to what “Unified” means in this context? We’re excited to cover all the basics with you during our webinar on July 23rd at 11am.

Topics we’ll cover:

  1. What are Design Principles?
  2. What is Unified design?
  3. Introduction to behavior patterns, design systems, and ways to seek out best practices.

The webinar will be recorded and available for viewing at a later date. However, we encourage you to join and engage in a collaborative effort to incorporate these fundamentals principles into your everyday workflow.
