Census with R

Census with R

In this workshop, you will learn how to use the tidycensus and censusapi R packages. The package tidycensus is designed to help R users get decennial and ACS Census data that is pre-prepared for exploration within the tidyverse, and optionally spatially with sf. Censusapi allows you to retrieve any Census API endpoint within R. We will do some light plotting and mapping as well. We also briefly touch on other packages you might want to consider when using the Census.

R and a Census API key are available to everyone. A familiarity with Census data or the Census Basics Workshop is recommended. Please bring a laptop in order to fully participate.
