Using APIs with Python

Using APIs with Python

APIs (Application Program Interface) are an intermediary which allows software/computer programs to talk to each other. This workshop will cover how to read API documentation, write code to submit API requests, and work with the data returned by that request. We will use python in a Jupyter Notebook environment to query the OpenWeatherMaps api and access weather data.

Python is available to everyone. Basic familiarity with Python is recommended. Be sure to bring a laptop in order to participate.
