Introduction to Python

Introduction to Python

This introductory workshop covers the fundamentals of Python, a popular general purpose, high level programming language. We'll cover some background, get everyone's coding environment set up using the Spyder IDE, and then dig into the basic grammar of the python programming language, and the basics of writing readable code and running Python scripts. We'll talk about how to load and use packages and learn about variables and built-in data types. This will be a hands-on experience with exercises throughout and plenty of time to get your hands dirty.

Python is available to everyone. No prior knowledge is needed, but be sure to bring a laptop in order to participate.
