Introduction to Data Visualization and Tableau

This workshop, part 1 of a series, introduces basic principles and processes of good data visualization. We'll discuss visual perception, including use of color and dimensions, along with best practices for making effective graphicsl. We'll review data types and the appropriate dimensions and visualizations to effectively represent different types of data. And we’ll introduce Tableau Public as a tool to make beautiful and interactive data visualizations using hands-on examples.

Tableau Public is available to everyone. No prior knowledge needed, but be sure to bring a laptop in order to participate.
