Building and Running C/C++/Fortran Codes on Rivanna

Building and Running C/C++/Fortran Codes on Rivanna

Using your C/C++ or Fortran program on Rivanna, UVA's HPC environment, requires additional steps. This workshop will cover choosing a compiler, and loading the appropriate modules. We'll tak more about compiling, linking, building and using make (including our makemake utility). Finally, we'll explore compiler options, using IDEs, and building OpenMP and MPI codes.

Rivanna is available to UVA affiliated researchers. Experience with C/C++/Fortran and familiarity with the Linux command line interface is recommended. Experience with UVA’s HPC environment is beneficial but not required.  Be sure to bring a laptop in order to participate.
