What's Up, Doc?: Know Your (Copy)Rights!

What's Up, Doc?: Know Your (Copy)Rights!

Academic authors have powerful legal rights when they create scholarly works. Publishing your work involves a series of important choices about how to use those rights, and it may involve the rights of others, too. In this workshop we will talk about what rights authors have in their own work, how those rights are often allocated in scholarly publishing contracts, and ways to use your rights to advance your career and even change the world. Led by Brandon Butler, UVA Library's Director of Information Policy.
