Intro to QGIS

Intro to QGIS

This workshop will be a hands-on introduction to QGIS, a widely used Free and Open Source(FOSS) Geographic Information Systems(GIS) program. We will talk briefly about background concepts and learn something about the FOSS geospatial software ecosystem and how it compares with similar proprietary softwares (ESRI/ArcGIS). We'll use some sample data and walk through some of the basic tools and operations. Lastly, you'll learn how to help yourself in the future.
