Surfacing Black Life in Charlottesville: a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon
This edit-a-thon will be a little different than normal. Typically, we pick a topic and search for resources to add but instead we’ll be using copies of two local African American newspapers, the “Charlottesville Tribune” and the “Charlottesville Albemarle Tribune," and looking for articles on Wikipedia to add references. Our Wikipedian-in-Residence, Lane Raspberry, will train folks on how to add to and edit Wikipedia pages before participants dive in so no experience with Wikipedia is necessary!
Group size limited to twelve.
