James W. Richard Lecture: "From Hindu to Christian Theology: Instruction, Truth, Experience" by Professor Francis X. Clooney

The James W. Richard Lecture Committee will host Professor Francis X. Clooney, S.J. of Harvard Divinity School for a series of three lectures entitled "From Hindu to Christian Theology: Instruction, Truth, Experience." 

Professor Clooney is the Parkman Professor of Divinity and Comparative Theology, and the Director of the Center for the Study of World Religions at Harvard Divinity School. He is a leading figure in the field of comparative theology. His research interests include theological commentarial writings in the Sanskrit and Tamil traditions of Hindu India, the Jesuit missionary tradition, and interreligious discourse and learning in the contemporary world. He is a Roman Catholic priest and a member of the Society of Jesus.

These lectures will be given October 24-26, 2017 in the Harrison/Small Special Collections Library Auditorium and will be followed immediately by a catered reception. 

All lectures are free and open to the public. No registration required.
