Final Friday: Exhibition Opening - The University of Virginia in 100 Objects

Final Friday: Exhibition Opening - The University of Virginia in 100 Objects

Join us at the Harrison Institute and Small Special Collections Library to celebrate Final Friday and the opening of our Bicentennial exhibition, The University of Virginia in 100 Objects.  The one hundred artifacts included represent moments from two centuries of UVA history in an exhibition that ranges across space as well as time--you can find seventy-nine objects in the galleries of the Harrison Institute/Small Special Collections Library, and twenty-one more may be found at sixteen satellite sites around Grounds.  Also on view: John Burroughs in Letter and Art and Society Ties: The History of the Jefferson Society at UVA.

Enjoy the new exhibitions, explore the additional satellite locations around Grounds, and snack on delicious food and beverages.  In the South Gallery, enjoy live music from The Charlottesville Jazz Congregation, an experienced group of musicians who have performed around Virginia and beyond since 2005. With a sound that blends the best of classic jazz, funk, fusion, and latin music, they can fit any occasion.

Final Fridays showcase Arts at UVA, highlighting exhibits, performances, and lectures on Arts Grounds and across the University.  We invite students, faculty, and community members to join this monthly showcase of the Arts at UVA!
