Getting Started on the High Security Zone

Master the essentials for handling highly sensitive and regulated research data in this self-paced, asynchronous tutorial that walks you through the full High Security Zone (HSZ) project lifecycle. It covers submitting a project provisioning request, meeting HSVPN workstation and training requirements, connecting to Ivy virtual machines (VMs) and the Rio HPC environment, launching interactive sessions in Open OnDemand, managing software modules, transferring data securely with Globus over the HSZ's dedicated data transfer node, and properly deprovisioning your project once your work is complete.

This is an asynchronous tutorial. Follow the tutorial on your own. Materials can be found in https://rc.virginia.edu/training under "Introduction to Rio (For High Security Zone)". There is no need to register. (There is no event on November 10.)

Questions about the tutorial? Reach out to Research Computing with a Support Request.
