Workshop: Introduction to Topic Modeling for Humanities and Social Sciences

This workshop introduces participants to topic modelling as a technique for exploring a large corpus of materials. Emphasis throughout will be placed on understanding the underlying concepts, limitations, and affordances, as much as on implementing it. We will primarily work with documents drawn from the humanities and social sciences. Free and open to the public. Prior experience with digital humanities or programming, while helpful, is not required.
