Celebrate National Library Week with a hands-on making session led by ACE and Scholars’ Lab Makerspace! Swing by the Makerspace during your lunch break (11 a.m. - 1 p.m.), April 21-23, and create your own unique library swag. This event is exclusive to Library staff!
Bring a t-shirt, tote, or any fabric item you’d like to customize-no experience needed. We’ll have everything else ready for you, including heat press equipment and a collection of library-inspired designs. T-shirts, canvas bags, fabric pouches, and pencil cases all work great. For best results, we recommend white or light-colored items, or black for a bold, high-contrast look. (Not sure what materials will work? Feel free to shoot a Slack message to Ammon Shepherd to double-check.)
This is a great chance to get creative, connect with colleagues, and walk away with something personal (and actually useful). Whether you’re going for something subtle or statement-making, you’ll have the tools and support to make it happen.
Bonus: Don’t miss out on our limited-edition library-themed stickers—available while supplies last!
The Scholars' Lab Makerspace is located in Shannon Library on the 3rd floor. See here for The Makerspace open hours: https://scholarslab.lib.virginia.edu/makerspace/#hours
