In this workshop we will explore data analysis and visualization in python using common libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, and Matplotlib. We will work through the steps of reading, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing data. Data is the foundation of nearly all research projects, and it can be a complex and time-consuming process to get it ready to analyze. This workshop is meant for Python beginners, but attendees should have at least taken the "Intro to Python" parts 1 and 2 workshops. The end of the workshop will focus on how to use Generative AI tools to complement the programming process.
Our policy is that we do not record live workshops in order to encourage robust Q&A. However, you can always find the full workshop materials for all of our workshops at: https://library.virginia.edu/data/training/past-workshops which allows you to work through the material at your own pace. We also encourage you to reach out to the instructor at any time for a one-on-one consult, and for specific or general questions about any of the topics we cover.
