AI Prompt Engineering for Python

AI Prompt Engineering for Python

In this workshop we will explore how to leverage Generative AI (Microsoft Copilot) to complement your programming skills and workflow. Specifically, we will focus on the CLEAR Framework in order to optimize AI prompts and responses. We will work through real programming examples routinely encountered in academic settings to better understand common hurdles, where AI shines, and where it falls short. This workshop is intended for people with at least some basic programming experience to intermediate level.

Our policy is that we do not record live workshops in order to encourage robust Q&A. However, you can always find the full workshop materials for all of our workshops at: https://library.virginia.edu/data/training/past-workshops which allows you to work through the material at your own pace. We also encourage you to reach out to the instructor at any time for a one-on-one consult, and for specific or general questions about any of the topics we cover.
