Build Your Classroom Library: Explore the Outdoors!
Designed for elementary and early childhood educators, join UVA Library for our summer professional development series on creating classroom libraries. In 2019 The Atlantic published an article titled "Where Is the Black Blueberries for Sal?" that drew attention to representation in children's literature about nature and exploring the outdoors. This session will cover the implications beyond the findings and how to find nature books that are inclusive for all children.
Enter our give-away! All participants will be entered into a raffle to win one of the children's books we feature in our session.
