Zotero is a free and open-source citation management tool that allows researchers to maintain a database of the books, articles, and other media used in a project. After this workshop, you will be able to save citations, pdfs, and notes in Zotero; use Zotero to insert citations and create a formatted bibilography in a document; and get custom citation styles from Zotero's citation style library.
This in-person workshop is hosted in collaboration with UVA PhD Plus and is designed for graduate students completing their theses and dissertations.
Please bring a laptop with Zotero and a Zotero browser connector installed. View detailed installation instructions here: https://www.zotero.org/support/installation
Our policy is that we do not record live workshops in order to encourage robust Q&A. However, you can always find the full workshop materials for all of our workshops at: https://library.virginia.edu/data/training/past-workshops which allows you to work through the material at your own pace. We also encourage you to reach out to the instructor at any time for a one-on-one consult, and for specific or general questions about any of the topics we cover.
