Join the Holsinger Studio Portrait Project in celebration of the final weeks of our exhibition, Visions of Progress, with a family day celebration at the Albert and Shirley Small Special Collections Library!
Family-friendly activities include:
- Tintype portraits by Richmond-based photographer Em White: Registration via Eventbrite required; reservations open Monday, June 5 at noon EDT
- A portrait studio printing post-modern cartes-de-visite in our main gallery
- Historic Clothing Collection show and tell from 1:00-3:00 p..m. with Collection Manager Marcy Linton featuring garments from the Holsinger Studio era
- A visit from The Free Book Bus from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at 170 McCormick Rd.
- Storytime readings from local celebrities featuring books about photography and portraiture
- A Zine Jam workshop for older kids (tweens and teens) with Women Making Books curator Annyston Pennington
- Snacks, make your own portrait, Holsinger Studio coloring books, and more!
Parking: There will be no charge for parking in the Central Grounds Garage on Sunday, June 11!
