The Digital Humanities Center (DHC) and Data Analytics Center (DAC) invite faculty and graduate students to attend information and networking sessions ahead of the launch of calls for applications to the next edition of the DHC-DAC Team Fellowship. Comprising one faculty member and one graduate student, the Team Fellowship encourages and supports the use of high-performance computing resources in the humanities and to identify UVA DH projects that require collaborations with DHC and DAC.
Running for one year from June 15th, 2026, the Fellowship will include a budget of $20,000 and support from DHC and DAC staff on theoretical and practical discussion and planning for the intellectual and technical aspects of the project. The team will have opportunities throughout the award period to share work-in-progress with UVa’s DH community at DAC and DHC events.
For guidance and networking opportunities, interested faculty and students are invited to register for information and networking sessions hosted at the DH Center in Shannon Library:
Thursday, March 12, 12-2pm: Fellowship Information Session
Teams from the DHC and DAC will introduce the Fellowship, and UVa’s digital humanities scholarship support and high performance computing infrastructure. Register below.
Thursday, March 26, 12-2pm: Faculty-Student Networking Session
This mixer will support connections between faculty and students to share research ideas, interests, and experience doing humanities research with AI. Register in advance.
Email lb-dac-dhc-fellowship at virginia.edu with questions, or to set up a separate appointment to discuss ideas, budget possibilities, and proposed collaborations.
