Savvy Researchers, Promote Your Scholarship by Creating an ORCID Account

As you continue your academic career, it becomes very important to identify and promote your research. ORCID is a not-for-profit organization that provides an identifier for individuals to use with their name as they engage in research, scholarship, and innovation activities.  In this workshop, you will create an ORCID account and populate it with citations to your publications. By learning to do this now, you will have a life-long skill and get the jump on starting to promote your scholarship.
Here is an example of the Curry School’s Dean, Robert C. Pianta’s ORCID account http://orcid.org/0000-0002-6280-8051 . By including a link to your ORCID account on your CV, you can begin to promote your contributions and gain connections! The introductory workshop is targeted for doctoral and masters students. Please bring your laptop!
