Introduction to ORCID

Introduction to ORCID

Distinguish yourself with an ORCID ID - ORCID IDs (or ORCIDs) are permanent unique identifiers for researchers, which allows you to unambiguously associate all of your research and scholarship with your name, regardless of discipline, location or time. In this workshop, we will sign up for our own (free) ORCID, look at the available ways to claim academic output, so that it is associated with our ORCID. We will also discuss how ORCIDs are increasingly being required by publishers when submitting papers, and how funders are also starting to use them. Please bring along a laptop (or a tablet) to fully participate in this hands-on workshop.
