How did Europeans represent the spaces of colonial and Revolutionary America?  How do individual maps take on larger meanings when joined together in a collection?  

 

University of Virginia historian S. Max Edelson leads a discussion with map collector and scholar Dr. Seymour Schwartz to answer these questions at a public presentation featuring images from the Schwartz Collection held by the Small Special Collections Library.
