The Charles L. Brown Science and Engineering Library is located in Clark Hall. There are five rooms in the library that may be reserved for group study and related work.
Use the calendar below at left to select the day you wish to reserve a room and the grid below to select the room, time and duration of your reservation. You may reserve a maximum of three hours per day.
You will receive an E-mail when a reservation has been successfully completed. Please DO NOT DELETE this E-mail in advance of your meeting, as it contains a link for canceling your reservation, should you wish to do so!
Room Policies
The Brown Library Group Study Rooms (Rooms 152 and 156) are located on the main floor of the library.
These rooms are available for reservation by small groups (15 or fewer people, depending on size of the room). The rooms are available during normal business hours for the Brown Library. (See Library Hours) Reservations can be made for a maximum of three hours per day per user. The rooms must be vacated 15 minutes prior to the Library closing. If a room is vacant and unscheduled, it may be used on a walk-in basis but must be surrendered to anyone who has made a reservation.
Rooms are for the use of UVa students, faculty, staff and their guests only. A minimum of two persons is required to book Rooms 147, 152 and G046; a minimum of four persons is required to book Rooms 155 and 156. You may reserve rooms up to 2 weeks in advance for single group sessions. We cannot accept full semester or repeating bookings. Study groups are strictly prohibited from monopolizing the group study rooms by creating adjacent reservations under the computing ID of a different group member. The Brown Library reserves the right to cancel any reservation created in this manner.

Instructions for this equipment are posted in the rooms. Please be aware that this equipment should be used carefully. Should anything break down it will be repaired as IT time permits. The Library cannot guarantee that this equipment will be repaired immediately, nor can the Library provide technical support for these rooms beyond basic help and information.
